Law 7063 of January 17, 2004 amends the Quarantine Act. Provides that human and material resources become frequently exchanged due to active exchange between south and north Koreas, the scope for quarantine shall be expanded from the current scope of vessels and air crafts to the new scope to include all vehicles, such as, ships, air crafts, trains, automobiles, etc.; and improves and implements the quarantine affairs and system by stipulating grounds to establish and operate a disease control organization to assume full responsibility to control acute infectious diseases including SARS which flow in from foreign countries.
