Law 4037 of December 29, 1988 enacts the National Assembly Library Act. Enacts newly the National Assembly Library Act which was repealed by Law 3368 (February 10, 1981) in order to set forth the organization and duties of the National Assembly Library pursuant to Paragraph 5, Article 22 of the National Assembly Act. Provides that the Library shall collect, arrange, analyze and preserve books, other library materials, constitutional materials and literary information, and support legislative activities by the National Assembly based on librarian services and legislative data analysis; causes the Library to serve state organs, public organizations, general public, etc. as well; stipulates that in cases where any state organ, public organization or person publishes or produces materials necessary to support provision of legislative information, such party shall provide them or present sample copies thereof to the Library; and allows organization of the Advisory Committee for Development of the National Assembly Library under the authority of the Librarian thereof in respect to formulation of major policies, formation of a joint library information network, etc..
