Law 1170 of November 17, 1962 amends the National Referendum Act. Inserts a new provision to allow voters, who change addresses after the record date of the voters' lists, to vote in the area of their new residence in order to guarantee exercise of their voting rights to the maximum extent because the current National Referendum Act defines persons eligible to vote in a national referendum as persons who are registered in the voters' lists and have an abode in a relevant area as of the date of promulgation of this Act, and therefore voters, who move to another area after the date of finalization of the voters' lists, may not exercise voting rights unless they vote in the place of their former residence.
