Law 2786 of November 29, 1975 enacts the Act on Testimony, Appraisal, etc. before the National Assembly. Provides explicitly the National Assembly's authority to perform investigations and determines the procedures of testimony, appraisal, etc. before the National Assembly by newly enacting the Act on Testimony, Appraisal, etc. before the National Assembly, which was repealed by Law 2499, in accordance with the amendment of the National Assembly Act (July 26, 1975). Sets forth the obligations of witnesses to present themselves and submit documents; provides that in cases where a person who is or was a public official is requested to present himself or submit documents by the plenary session or a committee of the National Assembly, the head of the governmental office concerned may allow such person not to comply with such request by presenting himself before the National Assembly and providing relevant explanation if it is necessary for safeguarding of security of the country or for its material interests; and stipulates that if a witness or appraiser under oath makes a false statement or appraisal, he shall be subject to punitive measures.
