Summary (English) |
Law 10639 of 9 January 2003 adds articles 26-A and 79-B to Law 9394 of 20 December 1996, which established the guidelines and bases of the national education, to include in the official curriculum of the Education Network the obligation to teach the subject "Afro-Brazilian History and Culture"; and to include in the school calendar the day of 20 November as the "National Day of the Black Awareness".(2 articles; p. 1)
