Law 3532 of December 31, 1981 enacts the Industrial Safety and Health Act. Aims to establish the standards of industrial safety and health for the prevention of industrial accidents and the creation of pleasant environment to work and, thereby, to preserve and increase workers' safety and health. Provides the fundamental obligations of employers and workers to prevent industrial accidents; establishes the Council for Industrial Safety and Health Policy under the Ministry of Labor, which will consider and coordinate major policies on the prevention of industrial accidents; requires any businessperson whose business is in danger to employ a safety and health supervisor, safety managers and health managers, to establish the safety and health committee, and to implement safety and health training for safety and health managers and employees; and requires any workplace of which danger is open to workers to measure and record the working environment and to carry out physical examination for workers.(48articles; 305-309pp.)
