Summary (English)	An Act respecting the effective date of the representation order of 2003, S.C. 2004, c. 1, received Royal Assent on 11 March 2004, and states that the representation order of 2003, there to ensure fair representation in Parliament by making in place an up-to-date electoral map implementing new electoral boundaries, is effective on the first dissolution of Parliament that occurred on 23 May 2004. The Act came into force upon Royal Assent. (Bill C-5, 3 sections, pp. 3-6).
(French)	La Loi sur la date de prise d'effet du décret de représentation électorale de 2003, L.C. 2004, ch. 1, a reçu la sanction royale le 11 mars 2004, et précise que le décret de représentation de 2003, visant à assurer une représentation équitable au Parlement en mettant en œuvre de nouvelles circonscriptions électorales, prend effet à la première dissolution du Parlement survenue le 23 mai 2004. La Loi est entrée en vigueur à la sanction royale. (Projet de loi C-5, 3 articles, p. 3-6).
