Summary (English) |
Law of 13 May 1879 establishes that the Chaco national territory, comprised between the Pilcomayo River and Bahía Negra, henceforth will be known as “Departamento Occidental.” “Villa Occidental” will be the Department’s capital city, and where the authorities shall reside, among other provisions. (6 articles, pp. 500-501).

Ley del 13 de mayo de 1879 establece que el territorio nacional del Chaco, comprendido entre el río Pilcomayo y Bahía Negra, se denominará en adelante Departamento Occidental. La Villa Occidental será cabeza de este Departamento y residencia de las autoridades, entre otras disposiciones. (6 artículos, pp.500-501).
