Summary (English)	Law of 10 July 1879 exempts residents of the “Departamento Occidental de la República” from military service, with exception of border service. It defines “resident of the territory,” in order to grant property. It delimits the “Villa Hayes” territory. It creates in “Villa Hayes” a committee with the purpose to inform the executive power of the land concessions done under Argentinian jurisdiction for revalidation, among other provisions. (Spanish)	Ley del 10 de julio de 1879 establece que los pobladores del Departamento Occidental de la República quedan exentos del servicio militar a excepción del servicio de frontera. Define que entiende por poblador de la zona a los efectos del otorgamiento de propiedades de tierras. Define el territorio que corresponde a Villa Hayes. Crea en Villa Hayes una comisión encargada de informar al Poder Ejecutivo las concesiones de terrenos hechos bajo la jurisdicción argentina para su revalidación, entre otras disposiciones.
