Summary (English)	The Water Pollution Prevention And Control Law contains 28 articles and was promulgated by the President on 11 July, 1974. The law is enacted with the goals of preventing water pollution, securing water resources’ cleanliness, protecting environment and upgrading people’s health. It is comprised of five chapters. Chapter 1, general provisions (Articles 1 through 4) Chapter 2, basic initiatives (Articles 5 through 10) Chapter 3, water pollution control (Articles 11 through 15) Chapter 4, penalties (Articles 16 through 25) Chapter 5, supplemental provisions.
