Law 5351 of August 22, 1997 amends the Energy Use Rationalization Act. Allows the Minister of Trade and Industry to recommend a energy supplier to take measures necessary for the efficiency in the use of energy; includes matters on indicating the energy price in the contents of the basic plan on the rationalization of energy use; provides for the statutory basis of establishing the National Energy Saving Promotion Commission; intensifies the control on the energy-using machinery consuming a considerable quantity of energy; allows the Minister of Trade and Industry to order the energy user concerned to improve the factor in the loss of energy; and adjusts the relevant provisions according to the amendment of the Act on Special Measures for the Deregulation of Corporate Activities(Law No. 5328, Apr.10, 1997).
