Law 4001 of February 24, 1988 amends the Honorable Treatment of Ex-President Act. Changes the title of the Advisory Committee on Governmental Administration to the National Advisory Committee of Elder Statesmen; changes the pension amount equivalent to 95/100 of the Presidential salary amount of the relevant year to 95/100 equivalent to the Presidential remuneration of the relevant year; stipulates the period of security guard and patrol provided to ex-Presidents and their surviving family to be the "period necessary therefor", and allows ex-Presidents and their surviving family members to be supplied with an office room, etc..
