Law 3378 of March 2, 1981 amends the Honorable Treatment of Ex-President Act. Appoints the immediately previous ex-President to the chair of the Advisory Committee on Governmental Administration, and appoint the rest ex-Presidents to the members thereof; increases the pension of ex-presidents from 70% to 95% of the remuneration of the President at time of its payment; increases the pension to be paid to surviving family members from 50% to 70% thereof, and expands the scope of their surviving children to include those younger than 30 years and those of 30 years or older without living ability; and provides ex-Presidents with honorable treatment, such as, pension, secretary officer, security guard and patrol, facilities for transportation and communications, medical treatment, etc..
