Summary
(English)
The National Examination Affairs Law contains 25 Articles and was promulgated by the President on 11 November 1988. The law is enacted with the goals of providing legal basis for processing national examination affairs. The essential points are:
1)To establish national examination affairs committees responsible for setting the standards for examination questions and answers and the review of test score; to stipulate provisions governing the function, operation and organization of the committees. (Articles 2 through 14)
2)To appoint persons other than the members of the committee as a member in charge of giving examination questions, reviewing examination answers and conducting interviews for various examinations. (Articles 9 and 15)
3)To authorize the Examination Yuan to establish regulations governing implementation of question banks, and criteria for reviewing and examination. (Articles 16 through 19)
4)To provide for the administration of examination affairs after the committee dissolved. (Article 22) (25 provisions, p.1-3)
