The National Security Law During Period Of Suppressing Communist Rebellion contains 10 articles and was promulgated by the President on 1 July 1987. The essential points are:

8) To provide for the means, after the lifting of martial law, for dealing with the criminal cases involving civilians being tried by the military court during the period of martial law (Article 9)
