GLIN membership is not required to search for information in GLIN. Most of the material in GLIN is freely accessible to the public and the system does not require a user ID or password for search purposes. See

GLIN members (governmental agencies and international organizations) contribute original-language, officially published, full text documents in electronic format. The summaries that accompany each document are for reference and retrieval purposes and should not be relied upon for legal counsel. GLIN is a reflection of similar needs shared by government organizations around the world for a lawmaking process based upon knowledge of the laws and regulations of other jurisdictions. GLIN's mission is to acquire, store, and provide timely access to this body of critical research and reference material.
